We’ll start shipping pre-orders on a first-come first-serve basis starting December 2020.

Do I have to choose between the sling back and tie up option?

Your shoes come with both strap options and are easily interchangeable. Kind of like having two shoes in one!

How are HILOS’ shoes different from other shoes?

Our shoes are made out of a newly engineered performance material called TPU in place of the normal nylon plastics and wood. We know it looks like wood, but it’s actually a bunch of TPU powder particles fused together layer by layer to give you a flexible, light weight, durable platform.

We tailor our shoes to the size of each foot and make them to order with a seamless two-piece design unlike anything out there, then send them directly to you. When you’re done, send them back and we’ll reuse and recycle them.

What is 3D printing?

3D printing is the technology that allows us to take minimalism and quality to the next level. It allows us to make our shoes lighter, more durable, and more supportive. We print only what’s needed, without a spec going to waste, making on-demand and close-to-market, ethically and with a second life in mind.

How is the shoe recycled?

Every part of our shoes is made to be disassembled and reused. When you send us your shoes back, we disassemble it and send it off to a network of partners who can recycle and reuse the leather and TPU for new products.

How long can I expect my HILOS to last?

About 2-3 years depending on how much you walk and in what kind of environment.

How do I care for my shoes?

Your HILOS can be cleaned using a damp cloth and mild soap. Just make sure you wipe off the soap with a clean damp cloth before setting out to dry. For the leather parts, you can also use leather cleaner.

Like any other pair of shoes, be careful about leaving soaked in water or extremely high temperatures for an extended period of time.

What's your Circularity program?

Everything is designed with an end-of-life plan in mind, so please save your return slip and use it to send us back your pair once they’ve run their course. In exchange, we’ll send you a sweet discount on your next pair.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, and we charge a flat fee of $30.
